Ingredients:

Shrimp, Flour, Salt, Black Pepper, Egg, Milk, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, paprika, Chili Powder, Vegetable Oil, Lemon Juice.

Preparation Time:

How To Make:

  • Step 1: Firstly, you have to take fresh jumbo shrimps. Take off the shells from the shrimps and devein them. It is very important to rinse the shrimps properly before cooking. After rinsing properly, keep them in a bowl and soak the excess water from the bodies of the shrimps with the help of a tissue paper. 

Watery shrimps can make the popcorn shrimps soggy and it will lose its authentic taste because of that. You can marinate the shrimps with Lemon Juice to add up a lucrative taste. Add 1 or half of a Lemon Juice, 1 tsp. salt, ½ tsp. Black Pepper, 1 tsp. Onion Powder to the shrimps. Mix well and let marinade.

  • Step 2: Take another bowl to make the egg mixture. Take 2 eggs and 2 tbsp. of milk into the bowl. Whisk well. You can use the egg yolks only if you want.
  • Step 3: Now, into a separate medium-size bowl, make the flour mixture. To make the flour mixture, take 4tbsp of Flour, ½  tsp. of salt, 1 tsp. of Baking Powder, ½ tsp. of Garlic Powder, ½ tsp. of Onion Powder, ¼ tsp. of Paprika or Chili Powder and mix well.

For a better mixture, you can use a container with a cover instead. Just add all these ingredients into the container and cover it with the lid. Then shake the container by two hands to mix all the ingredients well. 

  • Step 4: Open the lid of the container. Add shrimps into the mixture. Cover again and shake well. After that, open the lid and now dip the shrimps one by one into the egg mixture. After dipping all of the shrimps to the egg mixture, again put them all into the container with flour mixture. Cover the lid and shake again to mix.
  • Step 5: Now, pour vegetable oil in a deep frying pan and let the oil heated up for a while. After the oil gets hot properly, add the shrimps into the oil to fry. 

Fry until the shrimps get a golden brown color from both sides.

Ingredients:

Shrimps, Flour, Ginger Garlic Paste,  Egg, Masala Oats, Vegetable Oil, Turmeric Powder, Chili Powder, Cumin Powder, Coriander Powder, Baking Powder, Bread Crumb, and Lemon Juice.

How To Make:

  • Step 1: For this recipe, you can use small prawns or large shrimps whatever you want. Clean the prawns well and boil. To marinade, add 1 tbsp. of Turmeric Powder, 1 tbsp. of Chili Powder, a little amount of Cumin Powder, Coriander Powder, and 1.5 tbsp. of Ginger Garlic Paste into it. Adding some Lemon Juice would be a good choice to give them a delicious taste. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  • Step 2: Now, in another bowl, take 1 cup flour, 1 little pack of Masala Oats, 1 tbsp. of baking powder, ½ tsp. of Salt, 2 Eggs, and ½ tbsp. of Black Pepper Powder. Mix it well.
  • Step 3: Now, add the shrimps to the mixture and mix it very well. 
  • Step 4: Put some vegetable oil in a deep fry pan.  Let the oil heat up well. After heating the oil add the prawns into the pan and fry. When the prawns get a golden brown color, take them off the stove.

Oven Baked Popcorn Shrimps

Preparation Time:

20 minutes.

15-25 minutes.

Ingredients:

Shrimp, Vegetable Oil, Egg, Back Pepper, Garlic Powder, Sweet Paprika, Salt and Bread Crumb.

How To Make:

  • Step 1: Take one pound of fresh shrimps. Take off the shells. You can do this using your thumbs or by a knife. After that, devein them properly and rinse well. Take the rinsed shrimps into a separate bowl.
  • Step 2: Now, take another bowl, add 2 eggs. To taste up you can use ½ tbsp.  of Sweet Paprika, 1 tsp. of garlic powder and a pinch of salt into it. Beat the egg well. 
  • Step 3: Add 1 cup of flour into the egg mixture. Whisk well to mix. By this time, oil your baking tray with 1 tbsp. of vegetable oil. Just simply brush the oil over the baking tray well.
  • Step 4: Add the shrimps into the mixture and mix it well.
  • Step 5: In another bowl, take 1.5 cups of bread crumbs. You can add 2 tbsp. of Sweet Paprika to give it a taste. Now, add this mixture into the shrimp’s bowl. Stir it and mix well. 
  • Step 6: Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F which is 230 degrees C. Arrange the shrimps on the baking tray and again brush a little vegetable oil over the shrimps to make it easier to cook. Besides, it will prevent the shrimps to stick in the baking tray.

Now, insert the tray into the oven and let it cook for 12 minutes.

Cook until the shrimps get a golden brown color from both sides.
